Amongst the Chaos...

Amongst the chaos I try hard to be still.  Amongst the chaos I try hard to stay connected to who I am and not allow myself to be pulled in the hundred directions that life sometimes wants to pull me in.  When it seems there are a hundred tasks to be done, and a hundred places to be, and a hundred thoughts racing through my mind, sometimes the only thing left to do is let go and surrender.  When I start trying to solve all the worlds problems, and all the other things that need to be done in my mind, when I am scrambling to find the solution so I can then gain some control in my life, or FEEL like I have control of my life, or the many situations currently going on, I am everywhere BUT right where I should be at this moment.  When all my waking thoughts are spent trying to solve everything, and figure everything out, I realize I am missing the simplicity of life.  The only way I can get back in touch with the simplicity of life, when everything around me and within me is flying at mach speeds, is to surrender, and LET IT ALL GO.

HOW???? you ask.

You have to stop trying to control the outcome, you have to stop worrying about the outcome, you just have to believe that everything will work out as it is supposed to, no matter what.  To stop actually thinking about things that are on your mind is not easy.  I dare you to try it though, just for one second, pause exactly where you are, be still and release what's on your mind.  Surrender to it, give up on it. Look out your window, look at nature, see the stillness, sense the calmness, this can be you.  This can be how you feel, always, if you just take a deep breath and realize everything will unfold when it should, and as it should, in the time it should.  No matter how much thought you put into it, it will not solve the problem, or speed up the situation.  All that thinking takes so much energy from you.  It steals energy, it steals you from the present moment of your life, and it misleads you to believe you have control of the situation.  When you don't.  Nor do I, or anyone else for that matter, and as soon as you think you do, your illusion is shattered, and at the end of the day, when you realize, you sit back and say, "I surrender, I let go of everything, I will be the humble participant of this crazy quest called life, I will take it all in stride and I will do my best to make this quest a more pleasurable and happy experience for anyone who happens to cross my path."

What are you doing for your health and happiness?

In a day in age when our lives are getting busier than ever, and levels of depression, anxiety, stress, obesity and diabetes, in adults and children alike, are on the rise, what are you doing to keep yourself and family, happy and healthy, on both a physical and mental/emotional level?

Physical and mental health are intrinsically intertwined, it is a fact, and I know this from personal experience.  When I am not feeling so "hot" and I make myself get some exercise, even when I don't feel like it, I immediately feel better about myself and my life.  There is nothing like getting my heart pumping, my breath going, and having a great sweat, to change my mood and attitude.  As human's we need to examine where we are on physical and mental/emotional levels everyday, if we don't pay attention to these things they will slip away through our fingers.  Humans need to realize that having great, or even good, physical and mental health is a form of art.  It is finding a unique balance of a variety of things for each individual, and it is different for everone.  Self study, evaluation or examination (whatever you want to call it) should be an absolute in our daily schedules, as is brushing our teeth in the morning, as is starting the car before we can drive it.  When we study ourselves, we learn what we neeed to be happy and healthy.  When we ignore ourselves and our needs we become unhappy, stressed out and disease (or dis-ease as I like to call it) can set in.  Why do we ignore ourselves?  That's easy.  Family demands, work demands, whatever other demands you have in your life, which make you "too busy" to take care of yourself, and listen to your own needs.  I'm not saying you should be all consuming of yourself only, from now on, I'm saying slowly start to examine yourself and your needs and find a balance.  Work with it, mould it, fine tune it, HAVE FUN WITH IT and you will diswcover better health,  and more happiness slowly seeping in to your life.

In saying that, it brings me to my business "Tina's Fitness Studio" and my passion.  I am here today with my business because I want to provide people with a nice, friendly and safe place to become physically active, more energetic, stronger, more flexible, happier and of course healtheir.  I called my business name Tina's Fitness, but I want it to be understood that I'm talking about Fitness for the mind, body and spirit, and like I said earlier, increased fitness in one leads to increased fitness in the other, and that's a guarantee.  I am very passionate about Fitness for the Mind and Body because I know personally what the benefits are and what they feel like, it is great (and the word great diminishes what it actually feels like), and THAT my friends, is what I want to share with you all.  I don't promise it will come oever night but I promise it will come with some dedication and discipline on your part and some fun, motivation, music, and a variety of classes, clinics and personal training on my part.  I do this because it is my passion and I know and feel the benefits, I've been feeling and living the benefits for many years.  What's even more important though is that through times of injury or laziness in my life when I stopped doing physical activity and eating healthy and taking care of myself properly (yes, it haas actually happened), and I had to start all over again (which sucks, because you have to experience how bad you let it get), it just reinforced and cemented the fact that regular physical activity made me a happier and healthier person.  It took effort to get back to that state but it was more than worth it.  My business is my gift to you, to experience yourselves both physically and mentally, to improve your health and happiness, and I do this by offering a variety of classes, clinics and personal training.

Like any new habits you add into your daily routine, it will be challenging at first.  It takes self discipline and a burning desire to continue and to be your best self.  Sometimes the flame will burn bright and you will be on a winning streak, and other times the flame will become small and not so forceful, accept everyday as it is, because we are constantly in a state of change, we are a little different everyday from the day before, just hopefully in a better, healthier and happier way, and I will always be available to help you along your way if you need some assistance, or motivation or even a small kick in the pants.  Hee hee :)
